On 5/25/2020, Memorial Day, Town of Ossining Highway Dept. Motor Equipment Operator John Orlando, had a devastating fire at his home in Putnam Valley. Operator Orlando has worked for the Town since May 5, 2005. Thankfully, no one was injured. 80% of the interior structure of the house suffered from fire, water, and/or smoke damage. Carpets, walls, floors and many appliances will need to be replaced. John is working with his insurance agent. He anticipates the family being out of their home for at least 9 months. They are currently staying at John’s mother-in-law’s house. Any help for the family would be very much appreciated.
